W.A. Fisher name should be retained

Published in the Barrie Advance/Metroland Media

Although Barrie City Council has now decided to demolish the W.A. Fisher Auditorium, that doesn’t mean the name has to die with it. May I suggest that any new performance facility be named after W.A. Fisher. Even if council wants to sell the naming rights, following the example of the Five Points Theatre would be a good compromise. The W.A. Fisher Theatre, presented by ABC Widgets, would be better than nothing. W.A. Fisher deserves that much.
