So, letter writer Dave McDaniel is “Done with Trump,” Toronto Sun Letters to the Editor, 26 December), holding him responsible for the current state of America because, “He let people die knowing about a deadly virus…” I too feel that many politicians in many countries have dropped the ball, to one degree or another, in their handling of the deadly Communist Chinese Party Virus, but I wouldn’t go so far as to say they are directly responsible for the deaths of their citizens.
However, if McDaniel does feel that way, which is his right, how does he feel about Justin Trudeau’s response to the virus? Does he feel that Trudeau, “…let people die…” because he and his government called us racist for wanting to close the borders, especially from hotspots like Wuhan, China (even when it was Chinese-Canadians telling us there was something wrong in China, word that they likely got from their families back in China), and telling us that viruses don’t know borders?
How about when we were told as late as the end of March by Dr. Theresa Tam and Patty Hadju that masks weren’t necessary, and that they may actually increase the risk of infection?
Let’s at least be consistent here.
It might also be refreshing to see Canadians as concerned about Canadian issues as they are about an American President.

DONE WITH TRUMP
You cannot get any more proof of his malcontent, but how come Americans could not see this coming? We knew what he was long ago, yet enough people thought, ‘that’s OK, he would still be a good president.’ Really, really, really? He let people die knowing about a deadly virus, now because Americans have woken up and said no more lies, spoiled baby man will let Americans starve, starve in a rich country. Presidential powers should be revoked after an election loss. New laws are needed to protect Americans from this ever happening again. He won’t sign a relief bill and now he goes golfing instead. He can’t accept that he lost the election so he takes it out on everyone else. He has become completely unhinged. He also pardons convicted criminals like he will probably become. How do you like him now? Trump wins in a landslide, the most failed president ever. One thousand votes to zero. No contest, no voter fraud.
