Prime Minister Mark Carney led Liberals to victory last night, but they were kept as a minority government. Despite leading in the polls during the election campaign, the Liberals fell four seats short of a coveted majority, which would have been the first majority government since 2019 .
Now, I imagine there are more than one of the progressive crowd who are right now giving thanks to whatever God they worship, for sparing the life of President Donald Trump on that day in Butler, Pennsylvania. I don’t think anyone had on their bingo card that Trump would be the greatest thing to ever happen to the Liberal Party of Canada. Apparently, they don’t have to go out and buy that mini-van to hold their caucus meetings, after all.
