Re ” Liberal Senate damage grows,” (Anthony Furey, Toronto Sun, June 9): All those on the political left who think this is a Conservative scandal that will see a left-wing government come to power in October need to get off their smug high-horses. Liberal senators are up to their eyeballs in this one too.
Oh yes, and NDP supporters shouldn’t get too smug about this either. If the NDP had ever formed a federal government, and thus had the ability to appoint NDP senators, no doubt there would be NDP senators involved too. “A plague o’ both your houses.”

In addition to Duffy, Wallin, Harb and Brazeau, 30 other senators have been irons to have submitted improper expense claims, totaling more than $322, 000. Liberal Senator Nick Sibbetson billed nearly $27, 000 in improper claims. Liberal Senator Colin Kenny owes more that $27, 000.
