I have no idea whether his reasoning of “deeply personal” reasons is a valid one or …

February 2021 For those who still think it’s a great idea to de-fund the police, or even disband their police forces, Minneapolis City Council recently decided that disbanding their police force would be a bad idea, less than a year after the June 2020 vote. The inconvenient truth is that since that vote, crime in …

February 2021 Just when you thought Trudeau’s complete failure to secure a reliable vaccine supply couldn’t sink any lower, he found a way. Trudeau has stated Canada would be getting vaccines from COVAX, a mechanism designed to ensure third-world countries could get access to the vaccines for the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) Virus. Although there …

February 2021 The Canada Emergency Relief Benefit (CERB) program, introduced by the Canadian government on 6 April 2020, was a necessary program, meant to compensate Canadians who lost their income due to the government mandated shutdowns due to the rising infections of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) Virus. Unfortunately, the $2000 a month taxable government …

February 2021 The small village of Varney, Ontario, an unincorporated village within the Municipality of West Grey, is known for two things: the Varney International Speedway, a 1/4 mile high banked short track motor racing oval, and the Varney Big Chair. The Varney Big Chair is a massively oversized Muskoka Chair (also known as an …

Published in the Toronto Sun, 16 February 2021 Re: “Ford promises $1 billion of your money for Hamilton’s LRT disaster,” (Brian Lilley, Toronto Sun, 13 February): Brian is right that the Hamilton LRT is a project that’s not wanted. Even my Liberal-supporting mother, who was raised in Hamilton and is a graduate of McMaster University, …

February 2021 While winter after the joy and colour of Christmas can be pretty dreary for some, for others, it’s the time to get creative. Two Barrie families have built giant snowmen in their front yards, much to the delight of area residents. Chad Hanna built a 17-foot-tall snowman on the front lawn of his …

February 2021 Canadian civil liberties seem to be under attack with the announcement that quarantine hotels have been established to “detain” those returning to Canada who don’t present a valid, negative test for the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) Virus. I have mixed feelings about the idea of quarantine hotels. With the CCP Virus still ravaging …

February 2021 The Cherry Beach Express is colloquial term, referring to an alleged practice by Toronto Police officers of escorting undesirable people/criminals late at night to Cherry Beach, an underpopulated area in the Port Lands of Toronto, where rough justice at the end of a billy-club would be administered. February 2021 Barrie Police has attracted national attention in recent days, with the news of an as of yet unidentified Barrie Police officer (I’ll refer to as Officer BP for now) involved in the arrest of 20-year-old Barrie resident Skyler Kent.
