On Boxing Day, a gang of pro-Hamas bullies and their useful idiots invaded the Toronto Eaton Centre, chanting the usual antisemitic hatred of “We demand an intifada,” “Free, free Palestine,” “From the river to the sea,” amplified by bullhorns they brought, with many wearing keffiyehs or other masks. The Palestinian flag was waved, which has become the modern-day version of the Nazi swastika, banners were unfurled demanding the arrest of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, sanctions against Israel and the end of “Made in Canada Israeli Killing Machines.”
This act of terrorism (I purposely use that word) follows the Christmas Day vandalism in yet another Jewish apartment building, where Mezuzahs were ripped off the doors of multiple units in a Toronto condo tower, the second such incident in a month.
Has Toronto Police given up trying to protect the citizens of the city? Why were none of these agitators arrested? I don’t care if the agitators weren’t formally trespassed from the Eaton Centre. They could still be arrested by security or police under the Trespass to Property Act (TPA) for found committing a prohibited act on property, to wit: excessive noise (bullhorns), or demand they leave immediately and when they refuse, arrest them for failure to leave when directed, to wit: loitering (they certainly weren’t there to shop or for any other legitimate reason). Get creative officers! I’m not claiming that this would be the ultimate solution, and maybe any charges laid under the TPA would ultimately get tossed, but at the very least, we could start putting the heat on some of these anarchist thugs by identifying them, something that’s a part of the arresting process. These agitators benefit greatly from anonymity, so let’s take that away from them. This may lead to further charges for violation of court orders, release conditions or visa violations, which could lead to the deportation of non-citizens.
As MC Hammer once said, it’s “Hammer Time.”
At what point will you, Chief Myron Demkiw and Mayor Olivia Chow, finally admit that the 2 years of allowing the pro-Hamas agitators free reign to terrorize the Jewish population of Toronto has become untenable? Has the past 2 years of hearing the genocidal chants not been enough for you? Do you not believe their genocidal chants, not just against Jews, but ultimately against all infidels? Most of those who cherish Canadian values and laws came to this conclusion a long time ago. I hope you’re both ashamed for letting this nonsense go on for this long.
Freedom of speech and freedom to peacefully protest are rights to be cherished, but the blatant antisemitic intimidation of the Jewish residents of Toronto has to come to an end. I’d argue their actions fits the Criminal Code definition of terrorism. How much longer do we have to tolerate this nonsense before innocent Jewish residents or their allies are injured or killed? In case it’s not blindingly clear, it’s going to happen. I can’t express enough how thoroughly disgusted I am with both of you! You can make all the excuses you want, but the bottom line is both of you have allowed this garbage to continue for over two years. Enough!
