Pro-Hamas Palestinians conquer Toronto

November 2025

I was sickened and disgusted by the Palestinian flag raising ceremony at Nathan Phillips Square on Monday.  Besides the sick irony in that the square is named after Toronto’s first Jewish mayor, it was alarming to see supporters standing on the elevated platform where the flagpole sits, shouting “Free, free Palestine” and “From the river to the sea,” with some giving two arm victory signs to the assembled crowd below.  These antisemitic bullies looked more like victorious conquerors than citizens of a non-existent country showing their appreciation to a welcoming country.

As if that wasn’t enough, when a patriotic Canadian attendee tried to play Oh Canada on a sound system he brought to the square, he was very quickly shut down by an over-zealous Toronto Police Officer.  Mayor Olivia Chow should be ashamed of herself for allowing this and other events to proceed, and for her noticeable lack of support for the Jewish community.  Chief Miron Demkiw should also be ashamed of himself for condoning the conduct of his officers in trampling the rights of law-abiding Canadians, Jewish and their allies, and allowing these “Palestinian” agitators free reign to terrorize Torontonians.
