Now is not the time for scoring political points

March 2026

Re: “Creating crisis about language faux pas” (Toronto Sun Editorial, 26 March):

While it’s debatable whether Air Canada CEO Michael Rousseau should have given his remarks in French too, now is not the time to score cheap political points.  Two pilots are dead and 41 were injured in the crash at LaGuardia Airport and PM Carney and his government have chosen now to wade into a language debate? Could you at least have the decency to wait until after the funerals?  Focus Mark. Focus!
