Firstly, I want to be VERY CLEAR that from what I observed on the numerous videos that I’ve viewed, Renee Good did NOT deserve to die, but is it too controversial of me to say that we should let the investigation play out before we pronounce Special Agent Jonathan Ross guilty of murder? Many of the comments I’m reading on-line would indicate that’s a big YES! Maybe the agent over-reacted, maybe he didn’t, but did his conduct rise to murder? Good may not have been trying to hit the agent with her car, but she did.
Once again, I don’t believe Good deserved to die for what appears to be side-swiping Ross with her car, but was she really just a Volvo driving soccer mom on her way to the grocery store, or was she looking for a confrontation with the ICE agents?
Was she radicalized by a media and/or a social circle that told her it’s OK to “punch a Nazi?” Once again, not trying to shift blame SOLELY onto her, but let’s get all the cards on the table. Let the investigation play out, and if it’s determined it wasn’t a justified shooting, then, and ONLY THEN, should Special Agent Ross face charges.
I also wish to be VERY, VERY clear that I’m not an ICE apologist, so don’t any of you go there! I’m a strong advocate for allowing legal processes to play out, regardless of whether I ultimately agree with the outcome. Innocent until proven guilty. Since a lot of you like to call Trump and ICE agents Nazis, just remember that even the Nazis who didn’t kill themselves at the end of the war were afforded the right to a trial at Nuremberg.
Secondly, are all of you screaming for the head of Special Agent Ross alright with the fact that U.S. Capital Police Lieutenant Michael Byrd was cleared, after an investigation, of criminal conduct in the shooting of Ashli Babbitt, or do you think he committed murder? I want to see if any of you are consistent with your opinions, or whether you believe that it’s OK because she was a Trump supporter.
