Will we listen next time?

May 2020

Now that we have suffered though SARS and the Wuhan coronavirus, will we listen to the Taiwanese and Chinese ex-Pats the next time they try to warn us about another coronavirus coming out of China? It’s disgraceful that Chinese-Canadians, including journalists from The Epoch Times, were dismissed as being racist and xenophobic when they tried to warn us.

Also, combined with the H1N1 swine flu pandemic in 2009, will we also learn that we need to maintain a federal stockpile of personal protection equipment, regardless of how low we may assess the risk (three times wrong, so far)?

Unless we learn from our past mistakes, we are doomed to repeat ourselves. The past actions of our governments don’t bode well for the future.
