What’s the endgame for vaccine passports?

September 2021

Now that Ontario Premier Doug Ford has announced the implementation of a vaccine passport for Ontario residents, in advance of an expected passport from the federal government, some questions do need to be answered by both provincial politicians, and the federal politicians asking for your vote in the election this month:

Will there be an expiry date for the use of these vaccine passports, or will they be used in perpetuity?

What information will be contained on the vaccine passports? Will it just be for the Chinese Communist Party (CCP Virus) vaccines, or will other vaccines and other medical information be added at a later date?

In what form will the vaccine passports be, and will those businesses and organizations needing to verify the passports require specialized training and equipment to combat passport forgeries?

Seeing how contentious the idea of vaccine passports has become, will businesses and organizations need to hire private security to enforce compliance?

Do you remember what Milton Friedman said?

“Nothing is so permanent as a temporary government program.”
