The disgraceful arrest of a Rebel News reporter by Toronto Police

March 2024

Chief Demkiw,

What the Hell is going on with your once proud police service?  The arrest of a journalist who was clearly doing his job and not in any way committing an offence that would warrant being arrested, least of which for obstructing a peace officer, is a complete disgrace.  You need to answer for this disgraceful action by your officers, especially in light of your apparent refusal to order your officers to enforce the law against the pro-Hamas protesters who are actually committing arrestable offences.

Since when did your officers stop serving the people of Toronto and start serving the interests of the antisemitic, pro-terrorist crowds that are currently running wild on the streets of Toronto?  How many other journalists have your officers arrested at other pro-Hamas demonstrations?

Toronto’s infamous Officer Bubbles involved in illegal arrest of Rebel reporter – Rebel News

“On the evening of Friday, March 15th, the Toronto police arrested David Menzies for doing journalism, while he was covering a pro-Hamas hate march in downtown Toronto. They kept David in jail for hours, in a filthy cell. And then they charged him with two crimes — including obstructing police. He was not let go until well after after midnight.” – Rebel News
