September 2023
Across Ontario, the Ontario Federation of Labour (OFL) is organizing a “No Spece For Hate In Ontario” campaign for the week of 20-25 September, with protests scheduled for various cities across the province. The OFL protest is meant to counter the “1 Million March For Children,” taking place on 20 September in numerous cities across Canada and America, which is being organized by Hands Off Our Kids, a community-based group with the stated intention to protest LGBTQIA2s+-% ideology in the school system.
Its’ a nice thing to hope for, but the ironic reality is that the LGBTQ agenda, particularly the “T” & “Q” part, has gone from wanting acceptance, to wanting affirmation. Anyone who disagrees, regardless of merits of the reason, is subject to vitriolic hate.
For example, an increasing number of de-transitioners like Chloe Cole (Google her if you don’t know her), who are speaking out against transitioning, especially minors who transition, have been receiving a lot of hatred from the trans community. There are plenty of publicly available articles, podcasts and video interviews where Chloe tells her story. It’s heartbreaking! She’s now suing the medical and phycological professionals who encouraged and facilitated her transition.
If it’s wrong to express hatred towards someone who wants to transition (hate, not simply disagreeing), why is it OK for some in the trans community, and their supporters, to express hatred against any who want to de-transition? Too often, simply disagreeing is seen as hatred by radicals, thus back to my original point.
