July 2022
The Ontario Provincial Police issued a press release recent, noting that on 5 July, just after 7 p.m., “OPP stopped the vehicle at Harwood Road and County Road 45 and arrested the vehicle occupants. As a result, Cobourg Police Service arrested and charged Laurelle Cox, a 35-year-old female from Port Hope, with the following offences: Flight from Peace Officer, Dangerous Operation- Cause Bodily Harm, Assault Police With Weapon/Bodily Harm and Obstruct Police Officer. The accused was released with a future court date on August 31, 2022.”
Meanwhile, Freedom Convoy organizer Tamara Lich has been in custody since 27 June, with her next bail hearing scheduled for this Friday. She was previously held in custody for 18 days back in February and March.
Lich’s lawyer Lawrence Greenspon has stated that the time she has spent in jail “far exceeds the seriousness” of her conduct.
Just throwing that out there.
