Justin Trudeau is a stunning hypocrite, as well as being a fake feminist.
By now, most in Canada and around the world are familiar with the accusation that Justin Trudeau groped a female reporter at a fundraiser in Cresten, British Columbia in 2000. The reporter, Rose Knight, was so distressed by this assault that she informed her editor and wrote an editorial that appeared in her newspaper, the Cresten Valley Advance.
Trudeau gave a half-baked apology the next day, saying that he would not have been so forward if he’d known that she was reporting for a national newspaper (The National Post), an “apology” that seemed to insinuate that female reporters who work for smaller market media outlets are fair game.
In contravention to the usual philosophy that when you’re in a hole, stop digging, Trudeau has further worsened his situation by insisting he is fairly sure, then quite sure that he did nothing inappropriate that day, but then admitting that something did happen, but that he doesn’t believe he had a “negative interaction” with the reporter.
Basically, Trudeau said that despite what the reporter has stated as fact, she has her story and he has a different version, basically calling her a liar, despite the fact that he has publicly stated in the past that women are to be believed when they come forward with accusations of sexual assaults or harassment.
Trudeau also drags all Canadians into the muck of his own making by insisting that we all need to reflect and learn lessons on how to respect women and understand that, “…people can experience interactions differently and part of the lesson we need to learn in this time of collective awakening is a level of respect and understanding for the fact that people and in many cases women, experience interactions in professional context and other contexts differently than men.”
Basically, Trudeau is saying “Hey guys (the man club), you all know nothing happened. Women get so emotional over these things. I mean, we’ve all met a nutty chick before, haven’t we?” He’s pretty much saying that she’s lying.
Although the reporter didn’t press the matter any further at the time, including police action, she recently confirmed that the incident happened as she reported it 18 years ago and that she still does not wish to proceed any further with it. That’s her right, but that doesn’t end the matter, which has gone from what Trudeau may or may not have done, to his stunning hypocrisy in matters of sexual assaults or harassment.
In 2014, Trudeau ejected two Members of Parliament, Scott Andrews and Massimo Pacetti, from caucus for accusations of sexual impropriety by two female MPs from the New Democratic Party and fired a minister (Kent Hehr) for separate sexual misconduct allegations, before an investigation into the allegations of all three was even conducted.
In the case of Andrews and Pacetti, this action was despite the fact that the alleged victims didn’t want any formal action taken; just that the party executive be made aware of their behaviour.
Trudeau has wrapped his brand around being an ultra-male feminist (my emphasis) and has previously stated that there is no time limit on being held accountable, that he has never done anything inappropriate towards women because of his ultra-feminist leanings (my emphasis) and that the same standards would apply to him if any accusation of sexual impropriety was made against him.
Apparently when the rubber hits the road, frat-boy Trudeau doesn’t actually believe he should be held to the same standards as everyone else, if he is to be held accountable at all.
