Is it too early for some schadenfreude?

Published in the Toronto Sun, 3 October 2020

Masked Affair

With the news that President Donald Trump has contracted the Chinese Communist Party coronoavirus, the usual anti-Trump crowd are dancing in the streets with glee, given Trump’s lax and dismissive attitude towards the wearing of masks.

Now, I’m certainly not trying to be a Trump apologist here, but weren’t we all told that wearing a mask was more about preventing an infected person from passing it on to others than preventing you from getting it from someone else? The cloth and disposable masks most of us are wearing these days aren’t capable of preventing transmission the way the N95 masks do.

Just pointing that out.

(We wish President Trump and the First Lady a speedy recovery)
