In response to Garth Turner’s Blog

March 2008

Re: Garth Turner’s blog supporting Stephane Dion’s ouster of Joe Comuzzi: Although I can certainly respect people like Joe, Garth and John Nunziata who stand up for what they believe in, regardless of the consequences, I can’t help but take Garth’s support with a grain of salt.

Besides the obvious reason that Garth could likewise be ejected from the Liberal caucus for not towing the party line, this also proves that Stephen Harper is not the only one who can take a hard stance with his MPs. Maybe this is a bit of a wake-up call for Garth? Has Garth finally decided to tow the party line? Although I am a conservative, I completely disagree with Stephane Dion’s decision, just like I completely disagreed with Garth and John’s ouster from their respective parties. A Member of Parliament should be able to serve the interests of their constituents. Unfortunately, that is not living in the real world. Welcome to the world of politics, isn’t that right Shelia Copps? Keep up the good fight Joe & Garth. I hope both of you keep speaking out as that is exactly what Canadians need in their politicians.
