Have we finally learned our lesson?

Re:  “Heading the lessons of COVID-19” (Toronto Sun Editorial, 20 Sept):  I suppose the good news is that we seem to have learned our lesson that masks are necessary in helping to contain the spread of the Chinese Communist Party Virus, despite what experts like Dr. Theresa Tam were telling us up to early April.  

And maybe we should listen to Taiwan next time too.  

Now if only we can work on the idea that it isn’t racist to close our borders, especially from an area of the world that is known to be the epicentre. 

On a related topic, is our border really closed when you can still fly in and out of the country?
