Call me cynical, but I find it hard to believe that Paul Coffin is ashamed of what he did, as opposed the fact that he got caught.
But what I find really arrogant is his stated need to mortgage his house, cash retirement funds and borrow $500,000 from friends and family to repay his debt. He’s trying to tell us that he got $1.5 million for this “work” and he has none of it left? Either he is lying to garner sympathy by claiming that he is now a pauper, or he saw no need to save money for his future, as there would be more “contracts” coming his way. Coffin deserves to go to prison for ATLEAST 2 years (federal time) as a deterrent to others who think they can just take our money! Makes you feel really good about paying your taxes each year, doesn’t it!
