Re: “PM’s single-use plastic ban is double trouble for taxpayers,” (Lorrie Goldstein, 23 June, Toronto Sun): As Lorrie points out, yet another Trudeau policy will result in great pain to the average Canadian, while reaping little to no benefit. Well, it will have one benefit, that being greater sales for the Glad Products Company on sales of their kitchen catchers.
The sad reality is that unless the Conservatives can get their crap together, the Liberals, with or without Trudeau if he decides to take a walk in the snow (or more likely, on a beach with his surfboard) before the next election, will likely get re-elected because enough low-information voters will believe that the Conservatives are racist, they want polar bears to drown and they will re-criminalize abortion. Too bad we don’t have a law that states anyone who wants to cast a ballot has to first pass an intelligence test. The Liberals and their supporters seemed determined to lead us on the road to perdition.
