Blink Twice Brian

Published in the Toronto Sun, 23 June 2023

Re “Brian Mulroney praises Trudeau’s leadership, omits any mention of Tory leader” (The Canadian Press, 20 June):

At the opening of an Atlantic economic forum in Antigonish, Nova Scotia, on 19 June, former Prime Minister Brian Mulroney made an extraordinary statement when he introduced current Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

The former Progressive Conservative Prime Minister “…hailed Trudeau for his ‘leadership’ of Canada through repeated crises, saying that’s what history will remember, not ‘trivia and the trash and the rumours that make the rounds’ in Ottawa.”

Brian, blink twice if Justin is forcing you to say this by holding you or any member of your family hostage.

(We are still scratching our heads about this one)

Sources: Justin Trudeau will be remembered for his ‘leadership’ — not ‘the trash and the rumours,’ Brian Mulroney says | The Star.
