A boondoggle in the making? – Hamilton’s cancelled LRT project may be coming back to life

Published in the Toronto Sun, 16 February 2021

Re: “Ford promises $1 billion of your money for Hamilton’s LRT disaster,” (Brian Lilley, Toronto Sun, 13 February): Brian is right that the Hamilton LRT is a project that’s not wanted. Even my Liberal-supporting mother, who was raised in Hamilton and is a graduate of McMaster University, doesn’t support the LRT project.

Hamilton doesn’t need an LRT, let alone one that serves such a small portion of the city.

This is looking to be yet another one of the many boondoggles over which Hamilton City Councils, going back many, many decades, have presided.

(It would seem that way to us too)
